依托香港科技大学强大的科研背景,人工智能学域致力于开展人工智能的基础和应用研究,旨在培养具有扎实专业技能、跨学科能力和国际视野的高水平研究与应用人才。人工智能学域汇聚了一支高水平的师资队伍,积极推动跨学科研究,致力于立足粤港澳大湾区、面向国际社会,打造具有港科大特色的人工智能研究生态系统。
学域主任致辞

各位同事们、同学们:

非常荣幸能够担任香港科技大学(广州)人工智能学域署理主任。我怀着对已有卓越工作的深切敬意和对支持我们社区持续发展的坚定承诺,走上这一岗位。

首先,我要感谢我们教师、员工和学生的奉献与才华。正是得益于大家的努力,人工智能学域迅速成为一个卓越中心——汇聚了前沿研究、跨学科合作,以及塑造智能系统未来的共同愿景。

我们拥有一支优秀的研究团队,其专长涵盖机器学习和数据挖掘、计算机视觉、自然语言处理、可解释和可信人工智能、量子机器学习、具身智能、AI4Science、自主系统以及核心AI算法开发。这种知识的广度和深度赋予我们独特的优势——不仅在学术上,也在应对现实世界的挑战方面。我们的教师和学生一直在进行前沿研究,并在学术界和工业界赢得了全球声誉。我们将继续通过招募资深学者和青年才俊来扩大教师队伍。

同时,我们必须认识到,AI领域正在进入一个关键阶段。关于数据隐私、伦理、信任、透明度以及智能体中感知与行动整合的问题正变得越来越紧迫。这些都是复杂的问题,需要深思熟虑的回应。我鼓励你们每一个人——无论你是刚刚开始AI之旅,还是已经在领导开创性研究——都要勇于面对这些挑战。让我们继续提出难题,探索大胆的想法,并构建不仅强大而且负责任、以人为本的技术。
