About AI

AI Thrust, under Information Hub, is an academic department dedicated to both theoretical and applied research in AI and Machine Learning. Research areas include but are not limited to machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, reinforcement learning, data science, and multiagent systems. It now invites applications for multiple tenure-track and tenured faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor). We are committed to fostering research that is world-leading in originality, significance, and rigor, while developing researchers with robust professional skills, interdisciplinary abilities, and global perspectives. Our esteemed faculty actively engages in promoting interdisciplinary research, aiming to establish an AI research and innovation ecosystem that is rooted in the Greater Bay Area (a regional city cluster in southern China, encompassing Hong Kong, Macau, and nine cities in Guangdong province), and has an international scope, and carries the HKUST brand.
